Hakhel: Sukkot Retreat

This October we will gather in dreamy Devon to honour the end of the Shmita year in community, reflecting on what we have learnt this year and what we may bring into the next Shmita cycle.

Hakhel, meaning assembly, the historic moment when Shmita 'closes' occurs during the ancient pilgrimage festival of Sukkot. This retreat will be weaving the threads of this naturally very earth-based Jewish festival with the radical ideas of Shmita... exploring how we can build diasporic Jewish futures on land, how to achieve land & food justice in the UK today & how to regeneratively tend land around you wherever you live.

14th-16th October, Selgar's Mill (think luxury-communism...)

This retreat is generously supported by Moishe House so is aimed at young Jewish adults in their 20s and 30s.

Places are limited. Deadline to apply is the 24th September.

We will be reviewing applications and offering places from this Sunday 25th, though we will continue rolling applications - please apply as soon as possible to not avoid disappointment, as places are limited!
